1) -Describe the artwork -Analyze the artwork -Interpret the artwork -Judge the artwork 2) This art piece is a piece that describes me , and things I like, and people in my life. For this piece I had to first write down thinks that I wanted to go on it. I also had to get feedback from my friends and family to get help with things that describe me. Also I didn’t really know how I wanted to do my project so I went with the flow of things. Mathis project well describes me , I never get to make things that are about me so I was glad to have picked the two slips I picked . So as a result to that I was glad to have not known what I wanted to put on my project. I personally don’t like the black splatter paint , everything else I really like . 3) The purpose of this class is to learn different techniques and try different structures of art. In this class I learned how to make art look real, and how to make it look faker. I also learned how to make art out of things like -trash -pants -boxes -yarn etc. 4) I think illustration Friday’s helped me out a lot. I think they helped me a lot because I learned that I don’t need to rush to make art I need to take my time and focus . I also learned that there are so many different things you can use besides color pencils, markers, and pencils. I learned how to make are using just a sharpie ... I never even knew artist used those kind of things to make their art. 5) this warm-up helped me a lot because it helped me learn how to put structures in the right places. Also it helped me with shading and highlights , which I like to use a lot!

I choose to do the Santa Fe Highproject. I decided to do this project because so many shooting has been going on and there hasn’t been much support for those who lost people. This project gave those of us the Opportunity to show love, and support to this school.
I used about 3 or 4 mediums and maybe 4 techniques. -I used colored paper -splatter paint -regular paint -little yarn pieces -sharpies -Stinsel letters The slips I received for my project were
-what are 5 things that describes you? -what am I interested in? So I took and asked friends things that described me and I put in on a poster about “ME”. most helpful warm up:
-layered landscape with perspective most helpful perspective warm-up: -hallway drawing I used perspective 1. I got my photo off of google because all of my photos weren’t working out the way I wanted them to. The most difficult part about my project was I couldn’t find a single photo I wanted to do . So I had to put something together really fast. The 2 warm-ups I picked helped because it was way easier for me to paint different layered colors. I did my portrait project on my grandpa, he is currently dead and my best friend.
I used a canvas to put my project on , and the one I used was the perfect size. I started my project off by trasing the image onto the canvas and then going over it in Parker. Then I started mixing colors to begin my painting. I find this whole project successful considering I was gone a week and thought I wouldn’t finish. The only thing I would chance is the objects that go onto the face(mouth, nose, etc.) i thing the face proportions warm has helped me a lot. My person I am drawing has lots of detail that I can do perfectly after doing the proportion warm up. i found the face proportions warm up very easy after you sit down and listen to everything you have to do to make your face look so real.
my process every since the in progress blog has been to try not to mix my colors wrong , and to do one thing at a time . I had to finish my box before I could do anything to it only because I didn’t use glaze paint . I used normal acrylic. So I had to let it dry and spray flossing spray on it . I find how neat and nice looking my project looked. I thought I would have to start over . i would change which paint I used because I don’t really like he way the acrylic paint looks on the box .
With my piece I plan to put it in my bathroom as like a toothbrush holder or something to hold my stuff. I plan to finish this by painting what is missing and making it better. I found painting the inside of the box a little harder and painting the letters. It was harder to get the paint inside of the letters because they were so small. The most successful part about my project is that it isn’t going as bad as I exspected it to be . Also it hasn’t broken in half yet and I’m very happy about that . I had to make a few slabs to create my box. In order for me to actually have a box was to scratch and slip it. It was kind of hard but I managed to get it together and fire it.
My print shows the meaning of lines because the different textures throughout the whole picture changed . Some lines are deeper than others.
My piece is successful because I thought it would break apart before I started. Also I didn’t think I was doing it right. I would chance what stuff was in white and switch it with the stuff that was colored. tested colors: -orange -purple -green -I learned that this activity helps you understand the gist of color mixing. You can really get the feel from it by trying over and over . you can make brown with ANYTHING!
